Whitsun & Bank Holiday Week!
Well, just to wish you a great break this weekend! On Monday from 10.00am it is Braunton Fair organised by the two Rotary Clubs of Braunton and Braunton Caen and it’s a great day out for everyone, free entry – dog show, beer tent, BBQ tent, stalls, crafts, games, ice-creams, you name it!
Are you still planning to come away? We have very little space left at all now – one Cottage for the week and our Parkland Caravan – each of which is discounted by 20% only to readers of this eshot so if you can use – call quickly!
Breakfast with Albert the Peacock
All for the same price… we laid-on Albert displaying to his ladies this week – here’s a picture! He really is a fine fellow now and his daughter is a half white/blue affair – very pretty. You can see our azaleas are beautiful again as usual. This time it’s not ‘where’s Wally’ but where’s Helen!
Companion Dog Show – 21 May!
Sadly it was wet and this deterred attendances – such a shame for all the troupe of youngsters from South Street Church looking to raise money for the Swaziland Orphanage trip later this summer. Thank you to all those who did attend – and look, even Monty our English Setter had a prize for the best English Setter in the Show! Being Kennel Club affiliated, that’s the first official price under his belt now!
It is a great cause and if you wanted to support the youngsters in any way (they have to pay for their own flights etc. as well so it’s not one of those artificial jollies), then I should be pleased to pass anything on.
Still, we used the new Pavilion on the front lawn and it worked a treat and had many admiring glances so looking forward to our first wedding in it now – will it be yours!!For more details, see the Facebook page and www.swazi.moonfruit.com.
I made the Guardian last week… participating in a debate on the European Referendum of all things and being noted by a journalist (Daniel Boffey, the Observer’s Policy Editor) who was in the area at the time. The context here is of course this pretty little North Devon village of Appledore mentioned! http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/may/22/brexit-britain-anger-in-appledore-fishing-industry-demise
Business Breakfast at Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel
Thursdays, 7.15am, we discuss business topics. Open to all and only £9, please ring 01271 862841 or email. Those in business or retired are welcome for business themed breakfasts including learning and counselling. It’s VAT and Tax deductible. We finish at 9.00am, to ensure your day isn’t interrupted.
If you exercise fifteen minutes every day by the year end you will feel healthier and fitter. If you invest your time in the Business Breakfast, by the end of the year your business will be stronger too, with improved sales, efficiency and costs saved. Why not try – but beware, its habit forming! If you are a Hotel guest, you can attend without extra charge! I mean, apart from sleeping, what else are you doing at 7.15am on a Thursday!
Our very best wishes
